Cookie Notice
Discovery · Last updated: 13 October 2026
This notice explains how ghdiscovery.com uses cookies and similar browser storage (such as local storage). The mobile apps do not use browser cookies; they store your sign-in on your device's secure storage. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
What we store in your browser
We use only storage that the website needs to work, or that remembers a choice you made. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not use storage to track you across other websites.
| Purpose | Examples | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Keeping you signed in | Sign-in tokens and your session | Until you sign out, or the session expires |
| Completing what you started | Where to return you after sign-in, a payment in progress, your basket | Until it completes or you clear it |
| Your preferences | Light or dark theme, display currency, sidebar layout | Until you clear your browser storage |
| Notifications | An identifier for browser push, if you allow it | Until you turn notifications off |
Cookies set by other services
Some features load a service that may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy, only when you use that feature:
- Paystack, when you pay by card or mobile money, for payment security and fraud prevention.
- Google or Apple, only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Map providers, when a page shows a map or address search.
- OneSignal, if you allow browser notifications.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings. If you block the storage the site needs, you will not be able to stay signed in or complete a checkout. Blocking third-party cookies does not affect Discovery's own features, except that social sign-in may stop working.
